1.For those who entered on temporary visas such as for business or pleasure, to request visa extensions travelers must file the I-539 application to extend/change non-immigrant status. This can be done online at USCIS here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-539 and requires paying a fee. See the instructions at the website which explains how to complete the application.
